I was born on July 10th, 1980 to parents Ron and Debby Kaufman. On July 20th, 1982, I welcomed a brother Aaron. Four months later I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. I lived in San Jose California until the age of 7. In the summer of 1987, myself and my family moved to Scotts Valley California. At that point I was enrolled in Brook Knoll elementary school. After Brook Knoll, I attended Scotts Valley Middle School (SVMS). After SVMS, I went to Harbor High School where I played on the JV socer team as their goalie. After soccer was over, I got my first job at Stationery Outlook where I worked for two and half years. When I graduated from Harbor High in 1998, I went to Cabrillo Junior college in 1998 and started a new job at Office Max. That was a short lived job as I started work at Cellular One nine month later. After I finished my schooling at Cabrillo I transferred to San Jose State University (SJSU) in 2000. I eventually graduated in December 2003 with a B.S. in Business Marketing.

After Graduating, I moved into Corporate Account Management with At&t Wireless (ATT bought Cellular One) where I spent two and a half years. I found my first Product Management job at Lexar Media in 2006 in Fremont California. I spent the next 16 months establishing himself as a valued team member in the Lexar family. In the late summer of 2007, I accepted a job at Palm as a Product Manager on the accessories team where I currently work.

Some of my favorite things to do are play golf, mountain bike, photography, watch movies and listen to music. In 2008 I decided to expand my knowledge base by taking classes at DeAnza Junior College. Those classes included Photoshop CS3, Microsoft Access, and HTML courses. One goal I set for myself was to learn how to develop my own website, in order to do so, I started taking Web development courses at Stanford University.

Other activities I enjoy are Yoga, and most recently I enrolled in a Bartending school. I am still studying for the final test...being a bartender is hard work...tip your bartenders well.

In order to become more connected to the Diabetic community, I work with the JDRF as a mentor for children with Diabetes. I biked the Tour De Cure in June which covered a 30 mile course in which I raised over $1200. I also work with the Diabetes Society with children affected by Diabetes. And I just got back from being a camp counselor for a week at a camp that caters to children that have Diabetes. The camp is called Camp De Los Ninos...I went to this exact same camp as a child 21 years ago.
